This is a "Ground floor" opportunity on a rapid development program leveraging equities across the LM corporate enterprise. Keys to success in this role are technical subject matter expertise as well as being an effective communicator with strong team leadership skills. Some travel is expected.
Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a dedicated Joint All Domain (JAD) Solutions Lab Chief Systems Engineer to join the Special Programs team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for technical design and implementation of ground architecture solutions that enable a diverse set of national security mission partners to realize synergies across domains.
In this role, you will :
• Provide technical direction to a multi-functional team operating an end-to-end simulation and lab environment to demonstrate key JADC2 and BMC3 concepts
• Implement a OneLM approach by leveraging technologies matured by other business
• Support roadmap development and planning of integration of the lab with IRAD demonstration satellites, to demonstrate key JADC2 concepts in a live environment
• Provide technical leadership to capture and execution of CRADAs to include military exercise
• Lead or support writing of whitepapers and responses to USG solicitations (BAAs, RFIs, RFPs)
• Represent the USG-LM program team in briefings to technical stakeholders, both internal and external
Typically has 12 - 19+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• RF engineering experience to include signal processing algorithm design, development and test
• Experience in development of real-time embedded software
• Familiar with Model-Based System Engineering principles
• Familiar with IC and/or DoD architectures for data transport, processing and dissemination
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize and present information to all levels of audiences
• Final Top Secret security clearance, with the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and additional compartmented accesses.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with the Common Mission Control Center (CMCC)
• Experience with Common Mission Software Baseline (CMSB)
• Experience with Open Mission Systems/Universal C2 Interface (OMS/UCI)
• Experience with orchestrating large-scale DoD demonstrations
• Experience with Joint All-Domain C2 (JADC2) and connecting system users together
• Ground systems architecture design, development, integration, operations, and test experience
• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
• Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
• Whitepaper and proposal technical narrative writing experience
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application
• Active TS/SCI security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
